A measure of CO2 indicates the amount of fresh air supply:<\/span><\/p>

  • 15 cfm ventilation rate per occupant corresponds to 1000 ppm CO2<\/li>
  • 20 cfm ventilation rate per occupant corresponds to 800 ppm CO2<\/li><\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    • 350 - 450 ppm<\/strong><\/span> -- normal outdoor level
      <\/li>
    • < 600<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0ppm<\/strong> <\/span>-- acceptable levels
      <\/li>
    • 600 - 1000 ppm<\/strong><\/span> -- complaints of stiffness and odors
      <\/li>
    • 1000 ppm<\/strong><\/span> -- ASHRAE and OSHA standards
      <\/li>
    • 1000 - 2500<\/span><\/strong> ppm <\/strong><\/span>-- general drowsiness
      <\/li>
    • 2500 - 5000 ppm<\/strong><\/span> -- adverse health effects expected
      <\/li>
    • 5000 ppm<\/strong><\/span> -- maximum allowed concentration within a 8 hour working period<\/li><\/ul>

      The levels above are quite normal and maximum levels may occasionally happen from time to time.<\/em><\/p>
